The story goes like this: There is a house. It may be haunted. The house has a resident, or two, who has some secrets. They may be charming, or brooding, often both. Someone may have been murdered. A newcomer arrives, either as bride, governess, or journalist, and they begin to unravel all the secrets and lies lurking within the house ~~of Usher~~.

Locations may be in any country, in any era, but there must be a gloomy and opulent old mansion, and some sort of dark and terrible secret to be uncovered (or just ghosts. ghosts are always an option.)

The Newcomer

1. The new bride or groom. Your new spouse is charming and attractive, but do you really know all their secrets?
2. Tutor or governess to the estate children. They seem like such innocent children.
3. Companion—perhaps as a chaperone, perhaps merely as company, but you’ve been hired to come to some remote old house to keep an unknown stranger company. Probably just reading to them, or listening to them chatter on whenever travel is required.
4. Hired hand. You’ve been hired up from the local village—or perhaps the city—as a footman or a maid. Just an ordinary job. Nice house, though.
5. Distant relation. Thanks to your circumstances, you’re reduced to accepting hospitality from some remote relations of yours. They may never turn up to family gatherings, and you’ve never heard much about them, but they’re probably just reclusive.
6. Journalist. You’ve heard some interesting rumours about this old mansion in the middle of nowhere.

Could be with friends, or could be with people they met just today for filming. Whatever the case, they're about to see what it takes to make an adult picture. If they aren't an old pro already.

"Plot"

Even the most basic of movies has one of these! It doesn't have to be particularly complex, below are a few possible plots.

1. Special Delivery: The basic of basics. Maybe the homeowner seduces the delivery person for fun, or maybe it's to give them an extra tip.
2. Wet n' Wild: Showers, baths, hot springs or even the ocean are all fair game for some wet fun. Remember, water isn't that great of a lube! Are they alone, or are they trying to get it on with people playing in the water nearby?
3. Sexy Fighting: Like pro-wrestling but hotter! Hair-pulling clothes-ripping fun. Who will end up on top?
4. Caught: Looks like someone was caught masturbating, luckily the person that caught them is graciously going to help relieve their stress.
5. Stuck: Oh no someone is stuck and vulnerable, despite the fact it looks like they could slip right out. Hopefully no person (or persons) comes to take advantage of them.

Realities

The plot it just the fiction created for the movie, a role the actors are playing. There are a lot of things the camera doesn't see. Here are a few possible things that can happen before, during or even after filming.

1. Prep: Every film has some prep before the cameras roll. This could be early negotiations on what is and is not acceptable, as well as meeting their costar(s) for the first time. Getting comfortable before getting intimate is something most would consider advisable

2. Crew: The actors may get most of the attention, but the stagehands are unsung heroes of any film, porn is no exception. Fluffers are the most commonly known stagehand for porn, someone to help the actor(s) look nice and aroused for the camera. However, other jobs still exist! Catering, giving water to the actors, safety personnel, or maybe things more specific to the kinks on display.

We have such a story for you today. What a tale, what a legend! Listen, listen, listen if you please.

There's strength in numbers, they say (do they say?). In this world, that's good advice, but in the world you find yourself in now (which you've been all your life, oh, you're sure to realize), it's reality! For once upon a time, long ago, there were many brave warriors in the universe, spread all over. Each and every one was mighty and glorious, just as one would expect of handsome and wonderful warrior-princes and princesses. But the powers that be, the ones that control the tick-tock-tick-tock whirling hands of the planets’ gears, they grew jealous and wrathful towards the warriors. To secure their own positions, those cruel ones ripped each and every fighter into two halves: the source and the arm with which to wield that source’s power. One is useless without the other, you see.

Tells us more, you must tell us more!

More, you say? These two halves of each soul lives on, to this very day, that much is known. Of course, not everyone is reborn from those shattered fragments; some are very boring and very normal humans and creatures. But not you, my sweet listeners. For you are special, you're the players of this game where you must duel others in order to keep your place in this world. The Council of the Rose, the mysterious tinkers who make sure the chase goes on, will always find you and always tell you of your true destiny. All roads lead to the same place, the same battlefield. You are these shards living on, remaining in the forms of the brides and the grooms.

A wedding! There will be a wedding.

Be quiet. Before the wedding, there must be an engagement. That only makes sense! And we have to introduce the cast, don't we? The grooms first, then. Don't let the name fool you. Grooms can be male or female - it's the modern day, we're egalitarians! They're the warrior spirits, the muscle that swings the sword. So strong~! So brave! But that can be a bit of a problem. It's true! Without a proper bride to keep them in check, like any husband, a groom can go off the rails. All that energy with nowhere to focus it can't be good. The same thing may happen when their bride is threatened. It's of the upmost imperative for them to protect what is theirs!

When a groom meets a bride who may be their intended, they feel an indescribable longing and a need to possess them as their own, maybe even losing their own sanity the longer they stay away. Could anything be more terrible? Besides, without a bride, they can never reach their true potential. So it's not right that cold, unfeeling grooms treat their brides only as a tool or a means to an end. They should treat them like equals, like lovers, or maybe even better than themselves.

So it's essential not to underestimate the brides, again, male or female, even if they are usually submissive to their grooms (but not always in life and certainly not in the privacy of the bedroom, you know)! They're the weapon that the groom draws and the reason they can get stronger and more skilled. Not only that, but a bride can calm the ever-present turmoil inside a groom like no one else in the world can, serving as a grounding and healing force. They always, always, always support their groom and take care of them. In fact, without them, the groom will feel very unsettled, because most grooms can easily forget the importance of taking care of oneself! If a bride is rebellious and doesn't want to be one - how sad - there's nothing much that can be done...though the bride will begin to secretly feel unfulfilled until they act more kind. That's how a true romance should be, isn't it?

For each groom, there's only one bride. For each bride, though, there can be more than one groom.

What? What does that mean? Isn't that a betrayal of true love?

It is a tragedy! And all a rival groom has to do is defeat the other in combat and the bride goes to victor. That's why a bride and groom have to be perfectly in sync with each other and prepared for any challenge. They must know each others' bodies like they do their own and know exactly where the strength comes from. A kiss, full of passion, is how the groom can draw their weapon from their bride. That weapon takes a form that depends on their relationship.

Engagement

Never take anything less than a big diamond ring! It has to be that!

...well, that's true, but the engagements here, that's the first part of the contract to be together as is meant to be. The two must come together first with their bodies! How crude, we hear you cry. No, that's not the case at all. It may seem scandalous, yet sex between the bride and groom - it's only natural, and it's all right since there's no greater love than what comes from that bond. Romaaantique! The engagement is only the beginning, the trial period. There is much more physical contact to have, especially if you want to move up in the world. More and more sex (even if that does make it sound classless) just makes the connection between the bride and groom stronger, which makes the groom able to use more of the bride's energy and become stronger themselves. Then, if the sex is...shh, kinkier and more public, it can make the weapons you can summon that much more creative. So any self-respecting person should give it their all. We believe in you!

As for the wedding? Ah, that's the final key. That's a sensual ceremony and spell, you see! It forever binds the bride and groom together, making it impossible for other grooms to steal them away. A bad match will mean that one of you could die in a duel, and without your partner, you cannot live on. You can never revolutionize this world and create your own.

the community leader - A boss in a less official form. On paper, they're just some Joe Schmoe, but to their group of cronies, there's no one above them.

the celebrity - A traditional celebrity, like a movie star, or maybe something more modern, like your favorite Twitch streamer. Seeing as how they have millions of adoring fans, it's clear that they have the power here.

the owner - Their name is on the lease. They own this place, or maybe they own you. Whatever the case may be, legally they're the one in charge.

reluctantly in charge - Being in charge isn't your preference, but if there's no one else to do it, then someone has to step up. This might be a new thing, or maybe you've been running the show for a while and you're still not used to things.

green with envy - You're tired of having people above you! Sure, you're playing nice and getting along with the boss for now, but you're vying for that top spot.

Gods and Goddesses exist, sitting in the heavens high up in the clouds watching over Mortals. However, just simply sitting on your throne in the heavens and watching things from afar isn't something all gods find riveting. A simple visit to Earth can do much to refresh a God. Perhaps you're a God or Goddess venturing down into the mortal world or maybe you're a mortal that is getting the chance to encounter a God. All things are possible here.

Mortals pray to the Gods all of the time. It doesn't hurt to pay them a visit from time to time. Maybe even reward them for their devotion.

Gods sometimes get bored staying in their domains. Sometimes they want to visit the world of the mortals and see what the humans are up to. That or see what sort of trouble they can get up to in the human world.

3.) Invisible Hands
Sometimes, you can feel a God's hand guiding you in the right direction. Sometimes you can feel a God's hand doing other things…

4.) A Blessing
Mortals pray in their time of need. Sometimes they would like a blessing or the strength to get them through a situation. As a God, you have a unique way of bestowing these blessings.

5.) Demi-Creation
Often God wants offspring of their own, but that offspring doesn't necessarily have to be a full-blooded God. A life among the mortals could do them good, you just have to sire them first.

6.) With Another God
Mortals can be fun, but other Gods can scratch an itch that Mortals just can't. It doesn't matter if they are part of your Pantheon or another. Visit another God or maybe bump into them at some Godly shindig.

7.) Punishment
Punishing a Mortal for their sins, real or perceived, is something that a God just has to do. How you do it is up to you.

8.) Rule Over
Why sit up in the clouds when you can rule on Earth. Mortals will bow down to your Godly might, no matter where you are.

9.) Transformation
Being a God can be like being a celebrity. Mortals know your face and there is truly no way to walk among them without being noticed. Lucky for you, you can change your appearance and move among them. You could even transform into... other things, should you so desire.

10.) In The Family
Gods are above the petty notion of Incestuous relationships being taboo. No matter what your relationship is to the other, be they god or Demi-God, the two of you can indulge as much as you like.

A bargain between two Gods can be like a bargain between two mortals. Though maybe the two of you are putting more at stake than just a simple thing like money.

Gods are supposed to be infallible, but things can happen. Maybe you were sealed in a place for misdeeds or bound to an object by a spell that has been placed upon you. Regardless of what happened, you with all your Godly power are at the mercy of a Mortal, no matter what they want to do to you.

In their time of need, you saw fit to reach out and save them. Perhaps you brought them to your domain when they were facing certain death or maybe you went and physically saved them. However it was done, they may choose to show you a special brand of gratitude.

14.) Servant Of The Gods
Gods have their servants, be they lesser divine being or Mortals that work as Priests/Priestesses and protect and care for the God's place of worship. It doesn't hurt to let them know you appreciate their efforts from time to time.

15.) New Gods
One of you are new to Godhood. Maybe you have just discovered your first worshiper and want to visit them or maybe an older God would like to give you a particularly warm welcome.

16.) Lost Divinity
It can be a sad thing to be a god that has fallen out of power. But it's not impossible to return to your former glory. Come up with a creative way of getting Worshipers or call on another God for help in your time of need. Power transferring between Gods or acquiring some from Mortals can be an intimate affair.

Bruised. Beaten. Stabbed. Sapped of energy. Tricked. Mentally played and abused. Perhaps you've even seen your home world destroyed, depending on how Homestuck you are. Any way you slice it, characters go through a lot of crap.

There's nothing wrong with wanting to see them get pampered and taken care of when they're ailing. In canon, they may not have someone who can provide them with care when they're injured, support and love when they're sick, and physical intimacy all around. In this post, AU or other scenarios can provide them with a caretaking partner of their very own (or, maybe, someone to take care of, if the reverse is their preference). So, for once, weary traveler, you don't have to carry that weight all by yourself.

The injury may not be a temporary physical or mental one, however. Some characters suffer more deeply, even if they don't know it. Darkness covers their hearts, they're withdrawn, insecure, angry, or lonely. They need someone to reach out to them and show them unconditional love.

Frost Fair

Frost fairs are festivals held on rivers that have frozen over during the winter, sometimes in conjunction with Christmas markets.

( how to play )
Top-level posters, please provide a few options as to what your character is doing at the fair. What type of booth are they running? What kind of performances might they engage in?

Prompts:
1. Booths - The booths and vendors of the frost fair are one of the greatest draws of any festival. Warm food and steaming drinks can be bought, along with handcrafts and rare imports from across the realms. Plenty of fairy vendors are here, and one of them is creating little ice sculptures for sale upon request.
2. Performances - Plays and hand-puppets can be found throughout the fair, along with jugglers, acrobats, and all types of musicians. Be careful not to slip on the ice, if you're performing, unless that's part of your stunt!
3. Sled-races - If you're feeling competitive, there are several races to be had along the frozen course of the river! Find a sled, find someone (or something) to draw it for you, and join the race!
4. Ice-skating - Simple ice skates that can be strapped to the bottom of your boots are available at several stalls on the edges of the festival.
5. Sleigh Rides - Sleighs led by reindeer stand waiting near the edges of the fair, ready to take you up the frozen river and out across the snowy landscape. Some of these reindeer even fly!
6. Within the Tents - There's a tent city spread out across the frozen city, with plenty of rugs and braziers to help warm you. Many of the tents are set up as conversational salons and artist studios. Rumor has it that a few of these luxurious tents are being run as brothels.
7. Snowball Fights - There are plenty of drifts about, if you would like to play in the snow, build a snow person, or just leap into the biggest drift you can find.
8. Ice Sculpting Contest - Try your hand at sculpture! There are large blocks of ice and tools available for anyone who would like to make an entry into the ice sculpting contest.
9. Frost Fairy Mischief - Some of the fairies at the festival are out and about with mischief. You might find your possessions frosted or your hair turned white as snow, or you yourself might begin to turn to ice! It's said that the only cure for frosty mischief is a kiss.
10. Wildcard! - All manner of wintry magic and fun can be found at the frost fair, if you so please.

1. Magic Mirror - Standing in front of the magic mirror, scenes of your past begin to play out right before your eyes! Do you try shattering it to make them stop? How are you going to explain what's being shown to the person next to you?
2. Sweet Dreams - It seems you've fallen into someone else's dream tonight, while they're taking a stroll down memory lane. Will you intervene to alter "history"? Or just watch as things play out?
3. A Picture's Worth - You've stumbled across a photo album containing photos of their past. Are they embarrassing childhood photos, or maybe something more? Or perhaps they're photos neither of you even knew existed.
4. Someone Else's Shoes - Not only are you seeing someone's past, you're living it! Have you taken the place of a bystander or acquaintance in a distant memory, or are you simply seeing through their eyes? Either way, time marches on, and you'll just have to watch as things play out.
5. Mutual Awareness - Be it through a magic spell or some other means, both of you have suddenly become aware of some secret from the other person's past. What will you do with this information?
6. Dear Diary - You found someone else's diary and just couldn't resist taking a look. But will you regret what you've found? Or maybe someone found yours, and now they know all your secrets.
7. Somebody Once Told Me - You've heard about someone's past through the grapevine, and now it's time to confront them over it! Or maybe you know someone else has been filled in, and you want to clear the air first.
8. Flashback Attack - Something happened that reminded you of your past, and for whatever reason, you feel compelled to share. Is it something serious? Or did that cloud just remind you of the time you fell on your ass at Disneyland?
9. Truth Serum - The literal kind, or just some social lubricant in the form of alcohol. Either way, you've taken something that's making you feel the need to open up about yourself, and maybe share something no one else knows about.
10. Wildcard - Have some other idea in mind, or want to combine any of the above? Pick this option!

Once upon a time, this may have seemed aggressive or 'thuggish,' but nowadays, tattoos are a staple in most cultures. Tattoo shops can be found in cities across the globe, and the idea of body modifications becomes normalized by the day.

Time for your characters to hop on the bandwagon.

first time - We all have to start somewhere. With any luck, your artist will be cool, kind, and totally reassuring throughout the whole process.

tattoo therapy - Things are pretty weird right now, so a tattoo feels like a logical solution. It's more permanent than other coping mechanism, but it also looks a lot cooler.

cursed!au - This tattoo isn't normal. It's dark, and it's bad, and it grows. Hopefully an artist might have some idea what to do about this, but don't hold you breath.

killing time - It may surprise you to know that tattoos take a while, especially the big ones. It's not out of the ordinary to make small-talk with your artist. Or... big talk.

something specific - You know exactly what you want done; you've got it all planned out. Now, you just need an artist to translate your words into art.

bad reaction - The pain, or the anxiety, or the sight of a needle is leaving you in a bad way. Did you pass out? There's always someone who passes out.

wholesome!au - Contrasting your artist, maybe you have a much softer career, like a florist, or a barista. Who'd have thought the sweet, local music teacher is secretly decked out in tattoos?

You know this is coming, but everyone else in the world is blissfully ignorant. And why would you want to ruin their peace? It's better to let them be happy.

Lawless. Punch a cop! Kiss a grandma! Who cares! If the world is ending, there are no rules!

Magical Beach Bar Meme

Whether you're on a tropical vacation or you're not entirely sure why this thing is here at all, you've found the Star del Mar— a seemingly normal beach bar that's built just to get you into Situations. Come have a drink, and maybe end up somewhere you didn't mean to be.

This is meant to be a lighter fare meme for easy jump-ins and match-ups, but as always, putting some prefs in your toplevel will help others know what you're looking for.

Ah, well, it's probably safe to just drift along with your thread partner; there's drinks in the cooler, enough room for you both to lean back, and the little boat path probably leads right back around to the bar. Probably.
Bottom of the Jar: You've gotten toasted. Twisted. Terribly drunk. You've drunk so much, in fact, that you've blacked out— whether or not that's something you're used to. But when you wake up, you're not at your beautiful bar anymore at all. You've woken up on a desert island with nothing but a cooler full of drinks, a pair of fishing poles, a lean-to shelter from the sun, a pair of chairs decked out with beach umbrellas— and your thread partner. The sun seems far from setting, the weather is perfect, the sea smells crisp, and you're not in any immediate danger— maybe you can chill for a while before you start freaking out?
